Intellectual Property
Our firm offers its clients timely and efficient advice on intellectual property matters, with the essential objective of legally shielding these important intangible assets. For this purpose, we provide advice in the administrative process and in the follow-up of applications for registration of trademarks, commercial names, patents, copyrights, before the Mexican Institute of Industrial Property and the National Copyright Institute.
In addition to representing our clients in the administrative processes of registration and renewal of industrial property rights, we advise them in the use and exploitation of such rights in national and cross-border transactions, as well as in administrative processes of protection of such rights, including applications for declaration of annulment and expiration of trademarks.
Jointly with our corporate and transactional practice, we advise on the design, negotiation and implementation of software licensing operations, purchase and sale of intangible assets as part of mergers and acquisitions, as well as on the formalization of confidentiality and non-compete agreements in operations of different nature and in various industries, with the primary objective of protecting the industrial property of our clients.
